    Students coming to Taiwan to pursue a degree may apply for a Resident Visa at an ROC (Taiwan) overseas mission before departure. If you are unable to obtain a Resident Visa, you may apply for a Visitor Visa (also called a Stay Visa) instead, and within 8 working days after entering Taiwan, prepare the required documents listed below and apply for a Resident Visa at the Bureau of Consular Affairs (BOCA), Ministry of Foreign Affairs.<\/li>\n\n\n\n

    Students entering Taiwan with a Resident Visa must apply for an Alien Resident Certificate (ARC) at the National Immigration Agency (NIA) within 15 days of arrival. Before applying for the ARC, you must first complete school registration procedures to obtain your student ID card or enrollment certificate.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n
