韓國建國大學 2027 國際冬季學校將於 2027 年 2 月 1 日至 17 日在首爾舉行，提供韓語課程、英文授課選修與文化參訪，大學部及碩博士生均可報名，早鳥報名至 2026 年 11 月 30 日截止。本活動為自費參加，由學生直接向建國大學報名。未來有意前往韓國研修或研究的同學，可以先利用寒假體驗當地的學習與生活。

Konkuk University will hold its International Winter School in Seoul from February 1 to 17, 2027, offering Korean language classes, English-taught electives, and cultural field trips. Undergraduate and graduate students are welcome to apply, and the early-bird deadline is November 30, 2026. Participation is self-funded, and students apply directly to Konkuk University. Students thinking about future study or research in Korea may find it a good way to experience academic life there over the winter break.

國際事務組今年首度選送本校學生赴姊妹校日本岐阜聖德學園大學短期研修（9/27–10/3）。課堂上，同學學習日本佛教史、淨土真宗思想與臨床宗教師的實務，並親身參與淨土真宗勤行，看見以念佛、說法為主的儀式，也發現當地僧侶不一定是出家人，帶領勤行的就是一位同時任教於大學的僧侶；課外參訪西本願寺、文殊善永寺、名古屋城，並與當地學生交流。從課本走進寺院，同學們重新認識了漢傳以外的佛教樣貌。

This year, the Office of International Affairs sent DILA students on a short-term study program at Gifu Shotoku Gakuen University in Japan for the first time (Sept 27–Oct 3). In class, students learned about Japanese Buddhist history, Jōdo Shinshū thought, and the work of clinical religious chaplains. They also joined a Jōdo Shinshū service centered on nembutsu and Dharma talks, and discovered that priests there are not necessarily monastics: the service was led by a priest who also teaches at the university. Outside class, they visited Nishi Hongan-ji, Monju Zen’ei-ji, and Nagoya Castle, and met with local students. Moving from textbooks into temples, students saw Buddhism beyond the Chinese tradition with fresh eyes.

Brooklyn College Students Visit DILA: A Day of Tea Chan and Buddhist Psychology

1月9日，來自紐約Brooklyn College的12位學生在張老師帶領下，於法鼓文理學院展開身心兼修的文化之旅。

揚生館茶禪教室，一盞茶的時間——手中溫度、唇齒回甘、公案提問與觀察分享，讓向外的品味與向內的覺察，在寧靜專注中自然交融。

歐慧峰副教授的「佛教心理學：Knowing the Mind, Cultivating the Mind」課程中，現代科學框架與古老智慧相遇，為同學們開啟了理解心性的另一扇門。

茶湯無言，心智可知——東西方在此找到共通的語言。

On January 9, twelve students from Brooklyn College (New York) led by Professor Chia-ju Chang, explored a day of contemplative practices at Dharma Drum Institute of Liberal Arts.

At the Yangsheng Fitness Center Tea Room—warmth in hands, lingering taste, koan questions and mindful reflections—outward tasting and inward awareness naturally merged in quiet presence.

In Associate Professor Dr. Matthew Bryan Orsborn’s “Buddhist Psychology: Knowing the Mind, Cultivating the Mind,” modern scientific frameworks met ancient wisdom, opening new doors for students to understand the nature of mind.

The tea spoke no words, yet the mind can be known—East and West found their common language here.

本校姊妹校越南河內國家大學陳仁宗學院阮進榮院長、學術與科研管理處道氏心副主任、東方經典精華譯介推廣專案秘書處楊文賀副主任及總務處道海隆先生於2025年10月18-19日蒞校訪問，進行學術交流。本校陳定銘校長偕同佛教學系鄧偉仁主任、國際事務組歐慧峰組長、越南發展顧問林賢鈞先生及本校越南籍學生代表接待。未來除了教學及研究人員的互訪，並將推動雙聯學位、交換學生的合作項目。

2025年8月17日至22日，法鼓文理學院陳定銘校長率領教職員生前往越南河內、順化、峴港及胡志明市進行學術交流。其間，於8月18日分別與河內國家大學陳仁宗學院及河內人文社會科學大學簽署學術交流備忘錄，正式開啟未來在越南的學術合作新篇章。雙方將就教師互訪、學生交流及學術研究等領域展開實質合作，期望為學生的國際移動力拓展更廣闊的發展空間。

End-of-Semester Gathering: Continuity and Care

1月14日下午，禪悅軒裡，國際事務組舉辦期末聚會。在組長歐慧峰老師的見證下，組員 呂幼如將職務交接給單美倫。來自東南亞、歐美紐澳的國際學生們，一起分享這學期的點滴。

有人計畫著回家的旅程，有人安排留宿，即將畢業的同學也討論著居留與職涯的下一步。在輕鬆歡快的氛圍中，大家一起為下學期的活動構想新的可能——這份跨文化的連結，在交接中延續，在關懷中深化。

On the afternoon of January 14, the International Affairs Office held an end-of-semester gathering at Chanyue House. Under the witness of Professor MATTHEW ORSBORN, team member Youru passed the baton to Alicia SHAN WELSH. Joined by our international students, the group shared moments from the semester.

Some planned journeys home, others arranged to stay on campus, and graduating students discussed residence and career paths ahead. In a cheerful and relaxed atmosphere, everyone brainstormed future activities—a cross-cultural connection that continues through transition and deepens through care.
