The Dharma Drum Institute of Liberal Arts was formed by merging the Dharma Drum Buddhist College and the Dharma Drum Humanities and Social Sciences College in August 2014 with the approval of the Ministry of Education. To implement the internationalization goals and foster cross-strait academic exchanges, the Institute set up the International Affairs Section in September 2014. The main tasks of the Section are as follows:
- Strengthening International and Cross-Strait Exchange and Promoting the Internationalization of Academic Research
- Strengthening overseas outreach and exchange activities, and promoting partnerships with sister institutions and international academic collaboration.
- Promoting programs for exchange students and visiting scholars (faculty and researchers).
- Coordinating and supporting the Institute in organizing international academic conferences and symposia.
- Establishing an Internationalized Teaching and Learning Environment
- Enhancing students’ foreign language proficiency.
- Assisting students with overseas study and academic programs.
- Strengthening international student recruitment and admissions.
- Fostering a friendly and inclusive campus environment.

Responsibilities:

6) Administration of international institutional cooperation programs.

8) Administration of Ministry of Education–sponsored overseas study programs.
9) Liaison with partner institutions and coordination of agreements and contract signing.
