僑外學生在臺工讀務必申請工作許可
Overseas Chinese and International Students Must Obtain a Work Permit Before Working in Taiwan
勞動部說明，僑外學生利用課餘時間如欲從事工讀活動，均應於開始工作前依相關規定向勞動部申請工作許可，並須經由「外國專業人員工作許可申辦網」（https://ezwp.wda.gov.tw ）以線上傳輸方式提出申請。
The Ministry of Labor states that overseas compatriot students and international students who wish to engage in part-time work during their spare time must apply for a work permit from the Ministry of Labor before beginning any employment, in accordance with relevant regulations. Applications must be submitted online through the “Foreign Professionals Work Permit Application System” (https://ezwp.wda.gov.tw).
勞動部表示，網路申辦程序簡易且有中英對照功能，僑外學生僅需點選「申請帳號」完成註冊後，登打個人資料、上傳應備文件及繳交審查費，即可完成申辦，申辦網並提供「申辦進度查詢」功能，僑外學生可即時掌握案件審查進度。
According to the Ministry, the online application process is simple and provides both Chinese and English interfaces. Students only need to select “Create Account” to complete registration, enter personal information, upload required documents, and pay the review fee to finish the application. The system also offers an “Application Status Inquiry” function, allowing students to track the review progress in real time.
僑外學生應注意若未申請工作許可即從事工作，依規定可處新臺幣3萬元以上15萬元以下罰鍰。
The Ministry further reminds students that working without a valid work permit may result in a fine ranging from NT$30,000 to NT$150,000, in accordance with regulations.
有關僑外學生申辦工作許可相關法令及申請進度查詢等，都可於「外國人在臺工作服務網」（ Link）查詢。
Information regarding regulations for work permit applications by overseas Chinese and international students, as well as inquiry services for application progress, can be found on the “EZ Work Taiwan” website (Link).
【資格規範 Eligibility Requirements】
來臺正式入學修習科、系、所課程之僑生、港澳生及外國留學生，入學後即可向機關申請，惟來臺學習語言課程之外國留學生，則須修業6個月以上，方可提出申請。
Should a foreign, overseas Chinese, Hong Kong and Macau student been officially enrolled in a school to take courses in a division, department or graduate institute thereof or to take language course(s) for six months or more, the said foreign student may apply for jobs.
※ 僑外生申請工讀條件可參考「就業服務法」第50條及「雇主聘僱外國人許可及管理辦法」第50條至第55條規定。
※Overseas Chinese students apply for part-time jobs can refer to Article 50 of Employment Services Act and Article 50 to 55 of Regulations on the Permission and Administration of the Employment of Foreigners.
【工作時間限制 Working Time Limit】
工作時間除寒暑假外，每星期最長為20小時。
With the exception of the winter and summer vacations, foreign students’ sum of working hours shall not exceed 20 hours per week.
